Build a Better Pet
Radnor High School

Build and care for your own digital pet! In this workshop run by BSD Code and Design Academy, the worlds of programming and web design come together when kids design and program their very own digital pet. By coding functions such as eat, sleep, and play, students will explore the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and basic programming concepts.  Participants must bring their own laptop.

WordPress Workshop

In this workshop, kids grades 6-12 will create their own website using WordPress. They will learn how to set up a WordPress.com website and add their own content via web pages, and posts. We will also customize their website using the theme, menu and widget features in WordPress. Participants must bring their own laptops.

Give Back with a Book

Join us to discuss the book When Friendship Followed Me Home while taking a stand (a lemonade stand!) against childhood cancer.  Participants will help run a lemonade stand throughout the day with all proceeds benefiting the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation seeks to raise money and awareness for children with childhood cancer — especially research into new treatments and cures; and to encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer.

Come create animals toys for pets at the Main Line Animal Rescue featuring Guinea pig tents, scratch mats and more. Please bring toilet paper rolls and old dress shirts for projects.  Please feel free to bring a can of cat or dog food for the shelter.
